During your tenancy in Upper House
Rent payment
As outlined in your Tenancy Agreement, rent is due weekly, in advance, and must be paid on or before the due date. Upper House maintains a strict ‘no arrears’ policy to ensure fairness for both owners and tenants. Non-payment of rent will not be tolerated, and we will adhere to the Residential Tenancies Act’s procedures for overdue payments. If unforeseen circumstances affect your ability to pay on time, please inform your property manager before the payment due date.
Every three months, Upper House will arrange a routine inspection to ensure the property is well-maintained and to address any necessary repairs. Tenants will receive up to 14 days’ prior notice (no less than 48 hours) via email. Photos and/or videos will be taken during the inspection to document the property’s condition for insurance purposes. This report is provided to the owner and can be made available to tenants upon request.
